Admission to the American Folk Festival is free-admission each day. Although we do invite festival-goers to make a $20 donation when they enter.
There is parking around the Festival site, including two parking garages and multiple flat lots. Prices for parking vary between $10 – $20 per day.
Friday, August 23: 6 PM to 10:30 PM
Saturday, August 24: 12 PM to 10:30 PM
Sunday, August 25: 12 PM to 6:30 PM
Downtown Bangor has several public parking lots, plus the Pickering Square Parking Garage. Those familiar with downtown Bangor should consider parking in the Downtown area. Those unfamiliar with Bangor should follow these directions:
Traveling North or South on US I-95, take exit 182A to I-395, then take Exit 3B to Bass Park Parking.
From the East-from Rte 1A, access I-395 in Brewer. Take Exit 3 to Bass Park Parking.
If you ride your bike to the festival you can take advantage of free valet bike parking! Attendants will keep your bike in a secure area while you enjoy the Festival and will retrieve it for you when you leave. Save on gasoline, improve your health, reduce your carbon footprint AND enjoy FREE Valet parking! If it is too far to bike from home, drop your car 3 or 4 miles out and bike the remainder of the way. Some suggestions on where to park: Brewer Wal-Mart, The Airport Mall, the Steam Plant parking lot at UMaine, Dysart’s Truck Stop. #YOLO
